Hi, I have been involved in the Society of the Holy Trinity since its foundation. I have been involved in founding several missional new monastic communities including the Moot Community in Central London, the Wellspring Community in Peckham South London, the Blackfriars Community now the SE1 Central London Community. My journey with new monasticism began in the late 1980s when I as a radical atheist went with some Christian friends to the Taize Community in Burgundy France which had a transformative experience in my life that was realised when I was a student of higher education in York England. From finishing my under graduate degree I came to London and began working as an Occupational Therapist but also started out as a lay pioneer or missioner and later as an Ordained Anglican Pioneer or Missioner. Contemplation and contemplative prayer are key to me combined with being missional. I have been very involved in the Alternative Worship movement and Fresh Expressions movement.

More lately I completed a PhD exploring the use of Contemplative spiritual prayer practices to resource spiritual but not religious seekers to explore Christian spirituality defining a new Contemplative Model of Mission and a missional approach to the Christian spiritual journey of awakening, purgation, illumination and union.

Recently I have moved with my partner to Canada where I am currently the Diocese of Niagara Community Missioner helping to support and nurture new missional communities that include new monastic communities. For more on my and my published writing, please see my personal website above.
